Meet Kai! ? I’m Kai—a 2-year-old ball of energy and mischief who came to the shelter with 4 other pups (including my sister, who I share a kennel with). We bicker sometimes, but hey—that’s just me being the pesky little brother! Nothing too serious. I thrive on chaos and love keeping things interesting. If you put my toys neatly in one spot, I’ll make sure they end up scattered in ten. Give me a nice bowl of water? Perfect—I’ll dig in it first, then suddenly act like I’m the thirstiest dog alive. Settling down isn’t really my thing (at least not right away), but once I’ve had my fun, I’ll eventually crash and relax. Life with me means laughter, silliness, and plenty of “what did you just do, Kai?!” moments. If you’re looking for a pup who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with energy and entertainment—I’m your guy!

Madison County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Potential adopters are able to meet and greet with any adoptable animals. If they are interested in adopting anyone they will need to fill out an adoption application. The adoption application includes general care information, landlord and home information, as well as background. If the application is approved, adopters are given the option to pick out a leash, harness, collar, and toys for their new pet. Shelter ensures that all appropriate needs are met (they should have had: Microchip, vaccines ect) adoption fee is paid, and then adopters can take their pets home!
