Kacey's Story
Foster update Kassie:
Positive
warmed to me immediately and is actually a little shadow following me everywhere and wanting to sit on the couch with me. Loves to snuggle. I don’t believe this dog has ever met a toy He didn’t like. LOL. Very playful. Loves to play with toys and love to chase doggies around in the backyard. Crate trained and sleeps good in there at night. seems fine on the leash. More leash training is ideal, but he’s not pulling excessively.
Negative
Not potty trained. Will pee and poop in the house. Lifts his leg to mark. I have him wearing a belly band.
Loud aggressive sounding bark at my husband. When I am working he is pretty quiet but once I am home he will bark at hubby if he enters the room and he will go looking for him in another room and bark at him. After Bruce joins us on the couch or been in the room awhile he settles down. He is skittish with Bruce but we’ll sit on the couch next to him, will take treats from him, will let Bruce pet him. So he is definitely able to warm up and relax a bit. I think he just needs a gentle. patient. male figure who will spend the time loving him. He does growl at my other doggies, but I don’t think there’s any danger of a fight breaking out or anything like that. A little bit of growling and moving around and then things settle down. He might do best as an only dog but it is not necessary or required simply because he’s protective of me and doesn’t want the other doggies approaching me. Not aggressive and not persistent trying to fight or anything like that. But a little bossy and barks at any unfamiliar sound or item he sees but this is common for Papillons. Sometimes we are all piled on the couch together and he’s perfectly fine. Laying down and letting us pet him and no concerns with the other doggies around. So it may just be an adjustment thing.

Here’s the names of all now, 7 boys 6 girls all sweet albeit scared. We are requiring knowledge of handling scared puppy mill type dogs and secure fenced yards. All these dogs were living in a shed used for breeding so they know nothing. Must be kind patient loving safe and secure homes. All range from about 1 yr old to 4 yr old. Sadly one of them Petunia has massive mammary tumors all over and encapsulating her chest wall under her entire rib cage and is only 18 months old. I’ve never seen anything like this unless really old breeder dogs. Please pray for her I’m really concerned. You may apply to foster or foster to adopt if you’re in the Charlotte surrounding areas at www.peanutsplacerescue.org click application scroll down it’ll appear. Kai kiko kit Kaleb and Poppy are in foster homes as of tonight. All the rest are available to foster.
