Meet Juno ?<br/><br/>Juno is an 11-month-old Husky mix who will celebrate her first birthday on October 8th — and she’s hoping her biggest birthday wish comes true: finding her forever home. ??<br/><br/>Sadly, Juno has spent most of her young life in the shelter, and though she’s been adopted a few times, each time she’s been returned through no fault of her own. The longest she’s ever been in a home was just four months. ?<br/><br/>Her first family loved her dearly and said she did great with their cats, but they had to return her because the cats didn’t like her. Her second family returned her because she’s scared in new situations and around young, rambunctious kids — she just hasn't experienced much of the world yet and needs time to adjust. Her most recent adopter said she had some puppy behaviors and separation anxiety, which is understandable for a dog who has been given up on multiple times.<br/><br/>? What Juno Needs ?<br/>Juno needs a patient, loving family who will give her the time, consistency, and guidance she deserves. The “rule of 3” is so important in rescue — it often takes at least 3 months for a dog to truly settle into their new home, if not more. Juno has not been given that chance.<br/><br/>? What We Know About Juno ?<br/><br/>* Good with other dogs<br/>* Good with kids over 5<br/>* Did great with cats in her first home<br/>* Leash trained & rides well in the car<br/>* Knows “sit” and “lay”<br/>* Loves treats, running, and playing fetch<br/>* Knows how to ring a bell to go outside<br/>* Still working on house training — stress and adjustment periods can affect this<br/>* Still learning what she can and can’t chew (she’s still a puppy!)<br/>* Nervous around new people, especially men, but very sweet once she feels safe<br/>* Anxious personality — needs someone who can provide the reassurance, stability, and love that she has yet to experience<br/><br/>Juno is up to date on vaccines, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and spayed.
