Juniper's Story

Juniper has been waiting for a special person to come along who will give her the time to relax in her new surroundings before writing her off. She seems to have experienced a hard start to life and is nervous around new people and new places, but under all the nerves she has a sweet, playful demeanor and would love to cuddle with you on the couch or play a game of fetch, you just need to give her time to show you her true self! Once she's comfortable, she would love to do zoomies in your backyard, chew on all the nylabones and plush toys you have to offer, snooze peacefully next to you, and invite your cats to play with her by copiously play-bowing at them (don't worry, she does not chase her furry companions and can be called away easily!). She also does great on car rides, is very quiet inside and outside of the house, and sleeps through the night in a small playpen. Volunteers have said she does well with other dogs in the moderate playgroups too! ??Juniper would like a home that is calm and predictable and would highly prefer a fenced-in yard. Juniper tends to feel safer outdoors in small spaces at first so if you have a fenced-in/gated deck, porch, or outdoor dog run, that would be a big plus too. Her foster parent has had a lot of success potty-training her and highly encourages the adopter to reach out for tips on what worked as well as tips on helping her adjust quicker!
