Junior's Story

Junior, affectionately also known as Jack, is a 5 year old little dog with a huge personality. Alert, curious, intelligent, and eager to please, he loves being part of whatever his people are doing. Whether you're heading out for a walk, relaxing at home, or exploring somewhere new, Jack simply wants to be by your side.

He already knows his basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash. Jack enjoys long walks, running around with other dogs at the dog park, exploring hikes, and spending time outdoors. When the adventures are over, he's more than happy to curl up in your lap or snuggle in bed.

Jack is doing very well with his potty training and waits patiently to go outside on a walk or in the yard. As with any new home, he'll need a little patience while he learns a new routine, but he's eager to do the right thing.

One of Jack's funniest quirks is his relationship with food. He absolutely loves soft foods and enjoys special treats like green beans, yogurt, steak, and even a little toast. He'll happily dance with excitement when food is involved and always takes treats gently. At the same time, he's not a dog who is motivated by regular meals. Some days he'll clean his bowl, other days he'll eat just a little, and occasionally he'll skip a meal altogether. This is completely normal for him, and his future family should be comfortable with his unique eating habits.

Jack is also convinced that stainless steel bowls are suspicious. He approaches them cautiously, often jumping back as though the bowl might surprise attack. He prefers quiet mealtimes and will often sneak over to eat once everything has settled down. Quieter plastic or silicon bowls or mats are a much better fit for him.

Because he's a sensitive little guy who startles easily, Jack would likely do best in a calm home without very young children. Loud, fast-moving environments can make him uneasy, and he thrives with patient people who appreciate his quirky, lovable personality.

Jack is the kind of dog who will keep you smiling with his funny habits, make you laugh with his food dances, and fill your days with loyal companionship. He's looking for someone who will embrace all of his charming little quirks and love him exactly as he is.
