Junie's Story

Junie is ~ 3 years old Pitbull mix girl with pretty brindle coloring. She originally tested positive for heartworms which is no surprise since she had probably never seen a vet before...but as of July 22nd, 2025, she has completed her heartworm treatment, has tested negative, and is now CURED!!! Now that she is heartworm negative, she can be officially adopted.

Junie is one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet! She ALWAYS has a smile on her face and is excited for every part of every day. Junie was rescued when she was found sitting in the middle of the road. Her rescuer pulled her car over and she jumped right in. Her ribs and backbone were showing and we had to start her off with small meals as she devoured her food very quickly.

We cannot overstate the importance of heartworm preventive. Giving your dogs monthly preventive is THE BEST way to defend against heartworms.

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.

If you are interested in this pet, please fill out our ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://bit.ly/3HN4Tqq

Visit our website at www.PetPlacementCenter.com
