She has to be carried to and from her kennel as she freezes on leash and in the shelter halls. Outside, Junebug retreats to the corner, making herself as small as a little bug can be. But with time, space, and calm reassurance, she slowly explores her surroundings — tentative steps, cautious sniffs, and eventually even allowing short moments of soft petting.
