June Bug's Story

June Bug is a sweet and vivacious hound mix that came to the rescue when her prior owner could no longer care for her. Her estimated birthday is 5/1/25.

June is crate trained, house trained, rides decent in the car, and can walk well on lead. She knows place command and can stay om an elevated place bed for up to an hour. She loves spending time outside and would make a great walking/ hiking partner. June has a lot of energy and physical ability so she will need a family who wants to engage her brain and body in day to day activities.

June is expected to be a large dog and does have quite the vocal range when she gets excited. She still impulsively jumps on people at times and so while she is kid friendly, any kids would need to be durable because June comes in like a wrecking ball.

June is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $300 and includes a leash, collar, ID tag, harness, food sample, medical records, and complimentary consultation with a behaviorist. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.

Thanks for checking out our girl!

Murci's Mission 's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to apply with Murci's Mission! We are a foster based 501c3 that specializes in animals with medical and behavioral needs. We do not have a facility or set hours of operation. To be considered to adopt with us, your first step will be to submit an adoption application. From there we will read through our application and make sure that we feel like you and your household will be a good match for your desired pet. If we feel that you are a good match, we will contact you via phone or email to ask any questions we may have and to let you know that we are beginning the process of screening your application. We will then call your references and vet, and finally schedule a meet and greet with you at a time that works for you at your place of residence where we will perform a brief homecheck to ensure there are no immediate dangers to the pet. In most cases, adoption can take place at the end of the meet and greet. For particularly shy pets, or pets that may need more time to warm up to resident animals, additional meet and greets may need to take place. We look forward to meeting you and thank you immensely for choosing to adopt.
