June's Story

About June
Status: Available
Breed: Border Collie Mix
Gender: Unspayed Female
DOB: 10/10/2025
LOCATION: Muncy, PA
WEIGHT: 25lbs
COAT: Smooth Coat
COLOR: Black Tri-Colored
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Very Active Companion/Sport Competitor

Meet June!

Junebug, Junnie, JunnieB, JuJuBee, Bug - she responds to them all! June is the tiniest, sweetest border collie around! June was found roaming in a very rural area with her sister and found herself in a shelter needing saved. June is a FUN girl that can easily put a smile on your face! She is a little submissive with people; sometimes she ducks her head if you reach for her too quick and she almost always goes onto her back for belly rubs. When it comes to other dogs, though, she is a firecracker! No submissive signs there!

June is TINY! Maybe 15-16 inches tall (maybe a microdog!). She is insanely food motivated and this girl has drive for toys! She’s gone to disc league with her foster mom and the other dogs and this girlie didn’t skip a beat. She loves rollers and will probably be catching them in no time! With June’s food and toy drive she would be a wonderful sport prospect! June knows sit, down, and has mastered her recall earning off leash yard privileges.

June does great with all other dogs and befriends everyone after those initial, awkward sniffs. She loves to play and chase and wrestle with everyone. She does have some herding tendencies where she will nip the other dogs on the back of the legs, it’s never too hard and doesn’t leave a mark. June ignores the resident cat and would be fine with dog-savvy cats in the home; if they bolt she might want to chase as she does have some prey drive. A home with another playful dog or 2 is a must.

The ideal home for June has a yard and wants to train and work with her! She is a busybody and is active! June would be a fun sport prospect and would love to go on adventures! She just isn’t a couch potato. Her foster mom works from home and she does a really good job relaxing while she’s on the computer - a good coworker!

June will be spayed prior to adoption. Since she is under a year old and has the potential for sports we’re keeping her intact until the right home comes along.

If you are the perfect forever home for June, please fill out an application and contact her foster parents at meganstahlnecker@yahoo.com. BRBCR's approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

June's adoption fee is $350.

Thank you for considering a rescue dog!

BRBCR's adoption process requires that each of the following steps are successfully completed before meeting one of our foster dogs. The approval process typically takes 1 - 2 weeks. 1. Contact the foster parent of the dog that you are interested in to request an adoption application. 2. Fill out an adoption application on our website OR email a completed adoption application to brbcrdogs@gmail.com. 3. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a phone interview with the applicant and the applicant's veterinarian and personal references. 4. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a home visit with the applicant. Upon approval, the foster parent will set up a Meet and Greet for the applicant. If the Meet and Greet is successful, then the applicant will be able to take the BRBCR dog home for a 2-week trial period. If the trial period is successful, the adoption becomes official.
