0223058 - Julius is an affectionate and attentive 5-year-old border collie with beautiful golden-colored eyes. He is extremely smart and sensitive. He does well with both male and female dogs in his foster home, he definitely does not desire to be the boss. Julius is 100% house-trained but prefers not to be kenneled. He has been left unkenneled and unsupervised for short periods without any incidents. Poor guy may have had a bad experience with the leash-he's not a great fan of it but leash work is in progress. He does not seem to want to escape the yard and would definitely benefit from a home with a large fenced property where he can exercise. Julius wants to be beside you as much as possible, he typically can be found under his foster's desk during the day. Julius came from a shelter in New Mexico and where black dogs are frequently overlooked and at risk to be euthanized.
