Julius's Story
Julius arrived at the shelter as a Parkville stray. He is such a handsome and interesting mix, we sent off his DNA for testing. His first two, most prominent breeds, are Husky and Malamute. Yet, he reminds us of a cross between a Heeler and Spuds MacKenzie (if you’re under, say, 40 years old, look it up). Let’s just call Julius a Magnificent Mutt! Or if you prefer, A Fusion Fido. Back in the day, we would have called him a Heinz 57. Julius really doesn’t care what we call him; just don’t call him late for dinner. Our buddy likes to Dig In!

Julius is friendly, handsome, and loves meeting new people. However, it appears he would do best as an only pet. Hey, we admire him for knowing what he wants. Being your “one and only” has such a nice ring to it. We’re estimating his approximate DOB around December 2021.

We must mention: Julius isn’t suited for apartment living. In another life, he could have starred on Broadway (his voice carries), or better still, he could have hosted a talk show (he’s quite the conversationalist). In this life, he spreads Good Juju wherever he goes. Julius is friendly, smiley, and interested in whatever is going on. He keeps his kennel suite clean, and his leash skills are improving daily. Full disclosure: Somehow, stuffed toys seem to explode when in his care. Julius says he has no idea how that happens, and he would prefer dropping the subject.

Got it? He’s friendly, smiley, alert, handsome, and he wants to be the only pet in your home. If you could use some Good Juju, Julius could be your perfect match. Complete and submit the application, and a volunteer will contact you.

https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application

FOPAS is primarily run by volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and are dedicated to our animals for their entire lives.
