I like to hang back and watch first. I need time. If you rush me, I’ll probably shrink into myself or stick close to someone I trust. It’s not that I don’t want to be brave... I’m just scared of getting it wrong.<br/><br/> But if you’re patient with me, I start to warm up. Once I feel safe, my whole body changes. My tail loosens, my eyes soften, and I’ll come closer on my own. When I trust you, I really trust you. <br/><br/>I’m pretty proud of what I know. I can sit, shake, and down, and I try my best to show off when I’m asked; especially if there’s food involved. Honestly, food is my favorite thing in the world. Treats help me feel confident, help me focus, and help me understand that good things are happening.
