Judy's Story

• Name: Judy

• Male or female? Female

• Approximate Age: 2yrs

• Breed: Fox Red Lab

• Weight: 60lbs

• Any impairments: No

• Potty trained? Yes

• Crate trained? Yes

• Good with other dogs? I believe she would be good to introduce to other dogs. She gets along with our dogs and doesn't seem to care about the neighbor dogs

• Good with cats? She chases them but has never attacked one

• Good with kids? Yes

• Commands known: Sit, down(not lay down just down off of something), and here

• Needs fenced in yard? Yes

• Needs another dog in the home? No

• Location including Zip Code: Rushville, OH 43150

• Energy level (high/med/low)? High

• Bio: Judy is a sweet girl and is so smart. She learns commands really quick. She is independent. She really loves playing in the creek and running around the woods. She does have a higher prey drive but I have no doubt that, with proper training, she could do so much better about that. She chases cats but has never harmed one. She has harmed a few chickens though. Judy is not a jumper. She stays down off of people and she has a really good recall. She is not destructive. She has a very soft mouth like a typical lab. She is potty trained and crate trained. She does not have separation anxiety. She's all around a great girl. She would benefit from having an active family but she isn't so high energy that she can't settle down. She can be very calm and chill, or go run a few miles. She stays inside fenced in areas that is free from any holes. If she finds a hole she will get out. She does not jump fences. All in all Judy is an amazing dog. You will absolutely fall in love with her

Speak for the Unspoken's Adoption Policy
Before completing our online application please read the following: Our adoption process involves multiple steps and it typically takes up to 2 weeks from the time we receive your application to the time your adoption is finalized. We reserve the right to deny any application without explanation. All of our dogs and/or puppies are in foster homes. We do not schedule “Meet and Greets” without an approved application. Our Adoption Fees start at $325 per dog, $75 per cat or kitten. We can adopt an animal ‘out of state’, but you must be willing to travel to where the pet is being fostered, and transport the animal yourself after the adoption. If you have other animals (dogs/cats) in your home, they must be up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention (dogs), and spayed/neutered. We will verify this with your veterinarian. If your animals are not up to date, your application will be denied. Please make sure to fully complete your application; leaving questions blank or not including all requested information will delay your application. Once your online application is submitted, it can take our volunteers 5 to 7 business days to process it. If we have questions about your application, we will email you. Please make sure to add our email, adopt@speakfortheunspoken.com to your email so our messages do not end up in your spam folder! Once your application is approved by the processors, it is sent to the person fostering the dog you have applied for. They will make the decision on whether the animal that you applied for is the right fit for you and your home. They may also choose to initially contact you via email or phone. If you do not respond promptly to their email or phone call, they will move on to the next applicant. Your application will be saved on file for 1 year and will be used for all dogs you would be interested in that time-frame. No need to keep filling out applications! Adoption application approval means you are approved to adopt an animal from us, it does not mean you are necessarily approved for the animal you applied for. There may be specific circumstances in your home that do not make it a good fit for one animal, but it may be a fine fit for another.
