He had a broken hip on one side and a complex fracture on the other. Hip surgery in Lufkin repaired the hip, then he was transported to Houston to continue care arranged by HBHR. <br/><br/>After several weeks of splinting his broken leg with minimal progress, it was decided amputation was the best option for Jude to live a happy, mobile life. Jude bravely completed that surgery followed by weeks of rest and finally a month of physical therapy. Now he's looking for his forever home!

All potential adopters must be at least 18 years of age, must complete our application to adopt, and must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adoption fees are $300 for adult purebred beagles or coonhounds, $250 for mixed beagles or hounds, $200 for seniors or special needs dogs, and $350 for puppies 8 months or younger,
