Joy's Story
COURTESY POST! This is a courtesy post for Foster South LA, please email: fostersouthladogs@gmail.com for more information.

Meet Joy! At ~6 years old, Joy is a sweet, gentle girl with a calm and easygoing personality. She has a wonderfully relaxed presence and is happiest enjoying the simple things in life — long naps, tasty treats, and plenty of affection from her favorite people. Joy loves being close to her humans and will happily soak up all the pets and attention you’re willing to give.

Joy does well around other dogs, though she seems much more interested in people than in canine friendships. She’s generally pretty indifferent to other dogs and is happy to coexist with them, as long as they respect her space and don’t get too pushy or get in her face. Because of this, she could do well in a home with a calm, respectful dog or as your one-and-only pup soaking up all the love.

Joy has already shown how smart and adaptable she is—picking up crate training and basic commands within her first week, all while continuing to decompress and settle into her new routine. She’s also comfortable being home on her own and handles downtime with ease.

With her calm temperament, loving nature, and ability to adjust smoothly to new environments, Joy would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a steady, affectionate best friend. If you’re hoping to add a gentle, loyal presence to your life, Joy may be the perfect match!

For more information email: fostersouthladogs@gmail.com or apply to adopt and meet Joy: https://www.fostersouthla.com/adopt-a-dog
