Joy's Story

🐾 Attention Senior Lab Lovers! 🐾

Meet our dear girl Joy, a beautiful senior Lab who is searching for a very special, understanding home to spend her golden years. Joy is approximately 7 years old and came to us as a stray after being found alone near the Amazon plant. Life hasn’t always been kind to her, and she’s still learning that the world can be safe again.

Joy is very fearful of strangers at first, but once she gets to know you and builds trust, she shows her true self—sweet, gentle, and incredibly loving. She forms deep bonds with her people and will happily soak up affection from those she feels comfortable with.

Because of her sensitive nature, Joy would do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with no children and minimal visitors. She thrives on routine and calm surroundings where she can feel secure and relaxed.

Her favorite activity is going for short walks—nothing long or strenuous, just 5–10 minute strolls a few times a day to enjoy some fresh air and sniff around. She’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a slower pace and peaceful moments.

🦷 Medical Note: Our veterinarian has recommended that Joy receive some dental work. This procedure is not included in our standard adoption package, however her adoption fee has been reduced to reflect this need.

If you have a calm home, a patient heart, and a soft spot for senior Labs, Joy could be the loyal, loving companion you’ve been waiting for. Sometimes the quietest souls have the most love to give. 🖤🐶
