Jovie's Story

Jovie's story is a mystery. She came to us from another shelter in Texas, but the details of her are unclear. Despite the ambiguity, we are so lucky this lovable pup landed in our lap! The first few days made it clear she wasn't used to being indoors, but she soon fell in love with air conditioning! She would be happy being a companion dog or an outside dog, depending oon what suits your lifestyle.

Jovie is a social butterfly and a cicada hunter! She's a puppy with lots of energy, but never misses an opportunity to cuddle and relax, especially if a movie and some snacks are involved. Her foster brother, Mac, showed her the ropes of sitting on command, potty training, and patirntly waiting for her breakfast/dinner. The two often play together, Jovie has yet to win a round of tug-of-war, but she doesn't seem to mind as long as they can keep playing!

She is an easy going, happy-go-lucky gal! She will be up for anything you've got going on; whether you are spending the day outside, or having a lazy day inside, Jovie will go with the flow. She is good with children, cats, and other dogs. She is ready for her forever home, and we know that she will fit right in wherever she ends up!

Jovie creates bonds quickly, because she is affectionate and eager to please. This has also made training so much easier. She's most likely only 8 months old, but has already learned so many things, although, we are still trying to teach her to chew her treats instead of inhaling them! She is sure to bring joy to your life, a smile to your face, and possibly, cicadas to your doorstep!
