Journey's Story

Meet Journey! This sweet girl has had quite the journey in life. She was first found in June 2025, and then again in July, suffering from heat exhaustion in a backyard alongside her brother. After being reclaimed, she was heartbreakingly found again this March—this time emaciated on the side of the highway. Despite everything she’s been through, Journey hasn’t let the hard times change her gentle spirit.<br/><br/>Her story is one of resilience. Journey is still incredibly trusting of people, loves affection, and enjoys playtime with her favorite humans. All she wants now is a safe, loving home where she’ll never have to worry about being hungry, hurt, or alone again.<br/><br/>Journey is currently recovering in our SCI Chester prison training program and is accepting adoption applications. She’s ready to leave the past behind and start the next chapter of her journey—with a family to call her own. Could that be you?
