Josie's Story
This is a courtesy post for a wonderful dog named Josie. Due to unexpected changes in our household, including a busier environment, we have made the difficult decision to find Josie a home. Josie is a sweet and affectionate two and one-half year old dog that loves belly rubs, going on walks, and relaxing near people she trusts. She develops a deep bond with her family and shows them her gentle loving personality. Josie, an intelligent, observant husky mix, does well with routine and structure like most huskies.

Josie is housebroken, up to date on all vaccinations appropriate for her age. Her next rabies shot is not due until 2028. She is microchipped. She has been tested for Lymes disease and Heartworm, and results were both negative. The vet who saw her said 55 lbs. was an ideal weight for Josie. She is house trained, and although she is not "crate trained," she is learning quickly.

Due to the stress she in encountering in our home and two difficult interactions with aggressive dogs, which have left her more cautious and reactive around unfamiliar dogs, she has become anxious. She may take medication if she needs.

Josie would love to have a home with a calm environment and adults or adults with older children who understand the breed and her anxiety. She may be able to live with other dogs after a slow positive meeting and positive reinforcement. Give Josie a chance for her to shine in a home filled with love and caring.

Josie's fee is $150.00 which includes tax. Please call Ramona at 219.252.4356.
