Josie's Story
Josie just joined Serendipity in time to celebrate the Labor Day holiday with us! She was turned into a shelter with her puppies.

Josie is a very sweet, tall, and calm girl. She will sit on command, but we don’t know if she knows any other commands. The people dropping off Josie and her family at the shelter had a male Pitbull in the car and she seemed very attached to him. He was obviously not the father of the puppies but was comfortable with them and mom did not see him as a threat. The shelter believed the dogs lived together.

At the shelter, Josie seemed fine with a male test dog, but when they brought out a puppy, she growled at the test dog. We think with a slow introduction, she will be fine with other dogs, now that she is no longer caring for puppies.

Josie loves people, meeting them, and being with them. She loves nothing more than to lie on your lap in the sun and be your constant shadow.

Josie is estimated to be 2-3 years old. She appears to be a GSD mix, yet her puppies looked every bit like a GSD.

After raising her own babies, Josie is now looking for a family of her own. Unfortunately she has tested positive for heartworms, but we have started treatment and expect her to handle it all and recover with ease. We will update her profile as we know more about her.

-------------------
Our Adoption Fees:
-------------------

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450

* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400

* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program!
