Jordan's Story

Our adoption process begins with applications first so email for one. The adoption fee is $250 per dog and all vet care has been done and will be supply proof upon adoption.

Updates as of Sept 9, 2006. Jordan has completed her heartworms treatments. She is about the most perfect little girl. Not once in foster care has she used the bathroom in our home or given us any trouble. Jordan is a happy loving girl and loves to play with toys. Now she is on the road to a very healthy life again. Please remember always heartworm prevention saves lives, and spares families a lot of heart ache. Simply today there is no excuse for animals to contract heartworms. One pill a month saves lives.

Jordan has had her dental and began the heart worm treatment to save her life. She will be ready for her forever home at the end of Sept once she has completed the last two treatments for heartworms. Treatments that are so expensive and is just wiping out rescue funds. This year alone we have seen more cases of heart worms than in the past. It is becoming an epidemic and one that is easily prevented by one simple monthly pill. We just do not understand why people do not understand and care enough to give that one pill a month to prevent this deadly killer disease. She is a lovely girl and doing very well. We are not sure why her former family claimed she couldn't be house trained. She has not once had any accidents in our home or even at a potential foster home. She is possessive with toys and that seems to be her only flaw. She loves balls, other toys and is content in caring that toy in her mouth. She will hang out and lay on the dog beds in her foster home. She gets along with all dogs. Soon Jordan will be ready for her new home. Will you make her new life a much happier one than she has had in the past before rescue?

Sponsors needed for Jordan as she has heart worms and will need a dental. Jordan came to us from the Charlotte shelter heart worm positive dumped by her new family. Jordan is a beautiful 5 year old buff and white parti female cocker spaniel. She really needed a grooming and has now been groomed. Boy what a transformation for this beautiful girl. Jordan is dog social, cat social and child social. She was sent to the shelter by her new family claiming they couldn't house train her. Jordan sadly has faced death doorsteps this year in 3 different ways. One she was dumped by her original owners in the Statesville Iredell Animal Control late Dec 05. They placed her for adoption at the shelter as she was a sweet happy girl. The family who adopted Jordan in Jan 06 knew she had heart worms and was suppose to get her treated. Sadly they did not have her treated so she has suffered 7 more months with these deadly killers in her heart. Then her new family turned her into the Charlotte Shelter late last Monday. Thankfully the vet staff contacted me asap asking for help with Jordan. If we couldn't take Jordan she would be facing being put down. See folks dogs like Jordan do not have to suffer and die from heart worm disease if you give them one pill a month. It is totally unacceptable people get these animals and do not provide the necessary vet care for them and give them preventatives. What would people do if humans got heart worms like these poor animals do? If we as humans got heart worms you know no one would miss giving their families and their selves these tiny inexpensive pills once a month. The sad part to rescue is we are getting more cases of heart worm disease now more than ever. To treat for this deadly killer it is financially destroying our efforts to be able to help more dogs due to the cost to treat for heart worms. Some vets discount for rescues and still with what small discounts given costs hundreds to treat. However, we get them treated for heart worms and address any other medical conditions we are able to do to help ensure they will have a bright happy future ahead of them. We really need any financial assistance you can offer to help us continue being able to help dogs like Jordan who otherwise are going to be put down. So please open your heart and help sponsor this beautiful buff and white parti cocker spaniel. Will you sponsor Jordan with a donation and the donations can be paid directly to our vet Cabarrus Animal Hospital ask for Eileen 704-786-6102? Or donations can be mailed directly to us as well which ever is easiest for you.

Jordan is a sweet loving girl, gentle, needs to shed quite a few pounds. She is dog social, cat social and child social. Since come to foster last week she has not one had any accidents being crated all day, or hanging out in the kitchen. We thing the problem is the family she lived with was the problem. Either they didn't attempt to take her out to potty on leash or encourage her to go out and stay with her. She seems to want to run right back in if you put her out alone. Jordan will need a loving patient home who will help guide her on the right path of house training. She will make the perfect companion for an older couple or a couple who would enjoy taking her places with you. Can you make Jordan's future the happiest yet? Jordan is spayed, current on shots, has been groomed and micro chipped. She will be starting her heart worm treatment soon and get a dental as well.

Sponsors: Bumgarder famiy of NC, Hudson family of NC, ARF for allowing us to sell Auto Bell tickets to raise funds for Jordan, Minor family of SC, Turner family of NC, Rhodus family, Seashotlz family.

Jordan found her wonderful forever home in NC with a loving family and a senior 14 year old cocker and sometimes a live in lab. The lab is being petsitted when family is away.
