Jordan's Story

Jordan is a wonderful 5 month old pittie mix. He has done wonderfully adjusting to a brand-new environment and learning all kinds of new things. Within just a few days in foster he discovered the comfort of his crate and now goes in happily when needed. He rests quietly when left alone and has proven to be an easy house companion. Jordan enjoys getting out for walks and is great about having his harness put on. He’s already becoming a nice loose-leash walker and greets other dogs politely. He’s learning to respect his foster sister’s calmer style and now happily coexists with her.

Once Jordan trusts you, he’s a joyful, affectionate boy who loves snuggles and is very easy to handle. He’s eager to learn and already knows “sit” and “down,” and would thrive with someone who enjoys continuing his training. Jordan can be a little unsure with new people at first and doesn’t love strangers reaching for his head right away. A calm, gentle approach helps him warm up quickly. Once he’s comfortable, he’s all in for belly rubs, butt scratches, and snuggles. Expect plenty of butt wiggles and the softest fur you’ll ever bury your face in.

Like many young dogs, Jordan still has some puppy habits. He loves to chew (slippers beware!) and can get curious about kitchen counters and beds if given the chance. With supervision, consistency, and gentle guidance, he’s already showing he’s very responsive and willing to learn. He also loves squeaky toys, puddle-jumping on walks, and “fishing” in the kiddie pool. This guy is built for adventure!

Jordan would do best with a patient adopter who can continue helping him navigate new experiences and reinforce good house manners. With time, consistency, and kindness, he’s going to grow into an incredible companion. Dog-savvy kids and a playful canine friend could be a great match for this sweet, curious boy.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/adopt
