Jolene Beagle's Story

Jolene was born around June 24, 2022 and weighs about 20-25 pounds. Jolene came to us from Kentucky with the one hour at a time volunteer transport team and a very kind overnight foster person. Everyone along the way adored her as we do now! Jolene did have a home in Kentucky with the town drunk and he tossed her out the front door and said he 'wanted her gone'. A kind neighbor called her over and kept her until she could get her into the hands of another kind person and then she, tearfully, loaded her in the first transport car to come here to us. She is very sweet and affectionate and really loves to be carried (good thing she's little) and snuggled with and have her belly rubbed. Jolene rides well in the car and LOVES to wrestle, play, run, with other dogs and she does need another fun playmate in her next life and a large enough, physically fenced, safe area in which they can release the energy she has. She is also a very good swimmer. She is not a constant barker, but when she feels like it she sure can whoop it up and when she is on a trail of some fun odor she can be heard a ways away. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Joyful Rescues's Adoption Policy
By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt but also others in or needing to come into rescue. Your adoption helps us to keep doing what we do to help area animals stop reproducing and find quality homes for the homeless while providing them the best care we can. Your new family member will take considerable time, attention, patience and money to be properly cared for. Think of your new addition as your baby!! It is not a lawn ornament to be tied in your yard or kept in a basement. Consider the ultimate size of a young pet, how big of a pet can you handle??
