Jolene's Story

I'm Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, JOLENE . . . . I'm begging of you, please take me home, because you can! (with an approved application of course).
AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to help this sweet girl grow into herself. Jolene is a young lady at 1ish, maybe 2 years old and she's still deciding who she's going to be. She is a timid and submissive girl who needs a little time and space to warm up. But once she does she's such a love and absolutely worth the wait ??
She's been in foster care and appears to be fully crate trained and house broken. She is good with dogs and really loves calm children. She's approximately 40 pounds and is a hound mix. She will be an amazing companion to the family lucky enough to adopt her.
Jolene was more confident today, that these pictures show, as the staff and volunteers have been doing fabulous work with her already since being signed over with her siblings a couple of weeks ago. Like Jolene, she was not the only sibling that appeared to have been bred at this young age. Heartbreaking, but thankfully, her breeding days are now over. One cannot imagine, being a young mother, around other young mothers, with their own pup to raise. We think she's no more than 1 year old if that.
If you are unable to adopt, but no someone who might just be perfect for Jolene, please share with those individuals. If you can't adopt, please consider fostering her if you are the right family fit.
For more information on Jolene please email fobcasfriends@gmail.com. To be preapproved to adopt, please fill out an application in the link provided https://friendsofbedfordcountyanimalshelter.rescuegroups..undefined

For many more adoptable pets, please visit the Bedford County Animal Shelter's Petfinder page https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/?shelter_id=VA482
