Johnny's Story

Meet Johnny! (Est. DOB 2024). This sweet shy boy was dumped as a stray with his buddy June in a story that is all too familiar. But he is ready to leave his past behind and start fresh with his very own forever home! While he would love to be adopted with his confident BFF June as they are two ready made best friends, it is not a requirement, as they are both so dog friendly and can adapt. Johnny is very shy around new people, and it takes him some time to warm up to you. Once he does, he is a really nice boy who wants all the love and attention, but it takes him some time to get there! Because of Johnny’s shy nature, potential suitors should expect to come visit with him multiple times prior to adoption. Johnny absolutely must have a dog in his forever home to bond with, he is extremely dog motivated and this will help him settle into his new routine with his new family. We would be happy to introduce Johnny to resident dogs and would be happy to cat test him, too! Because of Johnny’s skittish demeanor, he will need a home with a stockade fence and would do best in a quiet, laid back home with no small kiddos running around. Johnny still needs some work on a leash and getting comfortable going into a crate, two areas where having a dog friend he loves will be extremely helpful! Even though he is not the easiest dog in the world, we still believe he is deserving of all the love this life has to offer him. Think Johnny could be a good fit for you?
