This handsome beagle is a southern stray. He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 29 lbs. He is currently at a stopover in New York on his way to Massachusetts to find his forever family. John is very playful. He enjoys playing fetch and LOVES toys, especially squeaky ones. He likes to collect all the toys and store them in his crate.<br/><br/>He has settled into his foster home very quickly, getting along well with the dogs and cats there. He goes in his crate often and is very comfortable in it. John is very easy going. He walks well on a leash but can be stubborn. If he doesn't want to go back in, he fights it and tries to back out of his collar.<br/><br/>John is an active, energetic, young beagle with a lot of puppy energy and behavior. He will need to be monitored as he learns to live in a home. He can jump a 3ft gate and will dig if given the opportunity. Fenced yards will need to be secure.
