Joey - Local

Joey has arrived in Rhode Island saved from a high intake facility in Houston and is now seeking his forever home! He is a four month old German Shepherd mix boy and should mature to a large medium or small large size, although with mixes that is always a guess, lol! He is bright, always cheerful, loves people and other dogs (although exuberant as all puppies can be), and within the family has been a favorite of his foster's two girls, who range from tween to early teenagehood :) He also has shown no particularly striking interest when cat tested after cat scolded, lol. Joey is a puppyish-puppy, easy for anyone to raise, a little sassy but also very sensible, gives good focus, takes direction and will be a pleasure to train. He is not high energy nor does he seem to require a lot of exercise to keep him happy....a pleasant perk given his breed mix, lol. He crates well, is well along on housebreaking, walks well on the leash and only needs the good foundational work continued. Joey loves meeting people, at home is very cuddly as well, and all told is a gorgeous boy, impossible not to like and is all set to go. Southpaws is proud to maintain its adoption fee at $450, but we unfortunately cannot adopt to residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire due to state restrictions there.
