This intelligent, athletic girl is looking for a home that will appreciate her drive, enthusiasm, and incredible potential.<br/><br/>Joey is both house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a home that's ready to continue her education. She already has an impressive foundation of obedience and knows sit, down, touch, wait, stay, place, leave-it, and has a reliable recall. She has also been successfully e-collar conditioned and absolutely loves working with her person. Joey is the type of dog who is always checking in, looking for direction, and asking, "What are we doing next?" She truly thrives when she has purpose and enjoys learning new things.<br/><br/>Joey is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions to play with. She also does well with older children. Because she's still a young dog learning how to manage her long legs and exuberance, a home with very small children may not be the best fit.<br/><br/>This is not a dog who will be happy spending her days alone while her family works 8+ hour shifts. Joey needs an active lifestyle and a family committed to providing regular physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. She isn't looking to simply be a pet—she wants to be your teammate.<br/><br/>Joey has tremendous potential in a variety of dog sports and working roles. She loves water, lives for a game of fetch, and would likely excel in dock diving. She would also be a fantastic candidate for rally, competitive obedience, or even scent work for fun. Her thoughtful nature, eagerness to learn, and strong handler focus also make her an exciting prospect for service dog work with the right training.<br/><br/>Unlike many working dogs, Joey isn't overly motivated by food or toys. Instead, she has an exceptionally high praise drive. Nothing makes her happier than hearing she's done a good job and earning affection and encouragement from her person. Building a relationship with Joey is incredibly rewarding because she genuinely wants to work with you.<br/><br/>Joey is searching for a home that understands the needs of an intelligent, driven young dog and is excited to continue helping her reach her full potential.
