Joey's Story

Meet Joey, a smart and silly guy who is ready for his forever home. Joey is fully grown at 2 years old and 38 pounds, making him a wonderful medium sized companion.Joey is a bright and affectionate pup who has spent the last several months learning how to be a confident, well mannered companion. He is house trained, crate trained, and picking up new skills every day. It is important to remember that although Joey is house trained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Joey is incredibly food motivated, which makes training fun and easy. He already knows sit, down, touch, paw, spin or turn, and even waits politely at the door before walks. His leash skills improve every day. Joey will need a home with older children over the age of 12 or an adult only home.Joey loves car rides, playing tug, and a good game of fetch. He currently lives with two dogs and two cats in his foster home and has done well with slow, structured introductions. He enjoys having dog friends and could happily live with another well matched dog.Joey is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his people. He is goofy, loyal, and loves being part of daily routines, whether that is a walk around the neighborhood, a car ride, or curling up after a good play session. He has come so far already, and with the right family, he is ready to shine. The adoption fee for Joey is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
