Joey's Story
Meet Joey! Joey is approximately 1 year old and is thought to be a Terrier mix. He was found as a stray but no one came for him, so now he's looking for his new forever family!

Unfortunately, Joey came to us covered in fleas & ticks, so we're happy that he was found and brought in so that we could treat him and get him cleaned up. He was immediately friendly with everyone and will make a fun little addition to almost any family!

While Joey is incredibly cuddly and loves to be held, he's also super playful and will even play fetch outside (and yes, he played fetch in the snow!) We think he'll be great for someone who wants a dog active enough to keep up with them when they're busy outside, but also snuggly enough to curl up on the couch in front of the fire.

Joey should do well with other pets & children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. Because we don't know what his life was like prior to being found, we don't know what his limitations are, so just be sure to go slow and learn him while you build a relationship. His new family should also expect to be open to any training needs he still may have, like potty training, crate training, basic obedience etc. He does great in his kennel at the shelter and should do well adjusting to a crate while he settles in.

Joey is an all-around silly, happy, lovable little guy who can't wait to wiggle his scruffy little way into your heart! He will be neutered & full vaccinated prior to adoption.

We do all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been generally approved. Please fill out the following PDF Application and email to monroecountydogshelter@gmail.com
https://www.co.monroe.wi.us/home/showpublisheddocument/35564

Joey is 15.2# and his adoption fee is $240.
