Joe was surrendered to the shelter as the innocent victim of a family split. He went to the Pups On Parole program at the California Correctional Center to give him additional time to find another home. Joe is a beautiful mix of the lab and border collie breeds approximately 3 months old. He should be bigger then the average BC, at 3 months old, he weighs 30 pounds. He was frightened when he first arrived at the Correctional Center but is quickly becoming a happy boy. He is being trained in basic obedience by his inmate fire fighter trainer. He gets along with all the other dogs in the program and enjoys being with people. He is going to make some lucky family a very loving and loyal addition.
