MEET JOE! This guy might bet one of the coolest dogs you haven’t met yet! An easy-going island boy from the British Virgin Islands, Joe needs to line up a home before he can begin his journey to the USA!<br/> <br/>JOE (2-3 years 50 lbs.) was found Dec. 2024, on the side of the road still attached to the chain he lived on, which was dragging freely and stuck in rebar. He was estimated to have been waiting in the hot sun for two days. JOE was starving, covered in wounds and suffering from deadly heartworm.<br/> <br/>JOE was rescued by one of our partners, @positiveanimalwellness @terriehayward1313 Terrie Hayward, M.Ed., KPA-CTP, CDBC, CPDT-KA, CSAT a dog training expert, who has been fostering him since January. She has nursed him back to health, treated his heartworm and trained him. JOE is the total package, an INCREDIBLE, gentle and friendly dog. We are excited to help him find his home!<br/> <br/>Vaxxed, neutered, microchipped.<br/>Knows cues for down, name recall and hand targeting.<br/>Working on crate training.<br/>Allows all handling and vetting.<br/>Loves car rides, dogs, humans, vanilla ice cream and food puzzles!<br/> <br/>JOE’s deal home should not have a cat, but dogs are okay!<br/> <br/>JOE has an excellent prognosis for a full recovery from heartworm with his last injections May 22-23.
