Joan's Story

JoJo (short for Joan) is a 5-year-old Terrier/Pit Bull mix with a heart full of love and a story of resilience. At 44 pounds, she's the perfect medium-sized companion who will follow you from room to room just to be near you. She's incredibly sweet, loves cuddles, and while she isn't much into toys, she lights up when she gets to run around and play.

JoJo gets along great with other dogs and she's been calm and affectionate around our 6-month-old baby. She's house-trained, walks well on a leash, and is picking up on basic directions quickly-she's smart and eager to please.

She sleeps soundly outside of a kennel at night, but we did kennel her when we left the house, as she's shown a bit of separation anxiety. It's clear she forms strong bonds and just wants to be with her people as much as possible-understandable, given that she was heartbreakingly found abandoned in a trash can. But despite her rough past, she's resilient, loving, and ready for a fresh start.

JoJo is now thriving in foster care and ready to find the loving forever home she deserves. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and low-key playful companion, JoJo might just be your perfect match. Come meet her-you'll fall in love in minutes.
