JoJo - Puppy

We love this sweet girl and know you are going to fall for her too.<br/><br/>JoJo was found as a stray in Beaumont TX. A Good Samaritan was getting off of work in an industrial area and found her hiding under his vehicle. She was covered with fleas, had raw paws and looked exhausted. Poor thing – she was obviously just a puppy. There were no homes for miles, so it was likely she was dumped. She had no collar, no tags and no microchip. This sweet family took this puppy home, had her vet work done and is now partnering with CRT to find her a forever home.<br/><br/>JoJo gets along with other dogs (all sizes) in her foster home. She has a lot of energy and loves to run and play with them. JoJo has a high enthusiasm level. JoJo loves to be the leader and will hold her own with the other dogs! If you have dogs who love to play, JoJo wants to be part of the fun! She loves to play with toys – especially the plush stuffed ones. This girl loves toys so much, she will dance on her back legs to encourage you to throw a toy to her. Oh it is so cute. And another fun fact – JoJo is fascinated with shoes! She will pick your shoes up and bring them to you. She does not chew on them or destroy them. She just loves to carry them around and is so proud that she knows how to collect them for you.<br/><br/>JoJo adores her humans. Her foster Dad has a special place in her heart. Afterall, he is the one who found her and she remembers that! JoJo is a very loving girl. She loves to be in her people’s lap after she has worn herself out. She is hoping to find a family who enjoys daily lap time – it is one of her favorite times of the day! JoJo is at that perfect stage where the world is exciting and everyone is her friend! JoJo loves to follow you around the house to see what you are working on. Whatever it is, she wants to be a part of it. Note that she is very active and loves to be right by your feet, so could be a tripping hazard! She is so sweet.<br/><br/>JoJo is about 8-9 months old. She weighs about 8.5 pounds and is fully grown. JoJo has a reddish tan coat with white highlights. She has the most amazing ears! One of our CRT supporters has sent us a DNA kit and we are going to use it on JoJo to see what she is mixed with. We will update her bio when we get the results back.<br/><br/>JoJo is very smart. She has done well on her potty training and is almost completely potty trained. At night, JoJo loves to sleep in bed with her humans. She is crate trained and happily goes into her crate if you have errands to run. JoJo does tend her eat her food quickly and guard it from other dogs (this is not unusual for a dog that was left alone on the streets to fend for themselves). We are working on that but for now, we just feed her separately so she can relax and enjoy her meals. We have just begun to train her with a harness and leash and she is doing well.<br/><br/>The ideal home for JoJo would be one with high to moderate energy. She would love to have another young dog (maybe 1-3 years) to play with. She would probably do well as an only dog too as long as her family was around to spend a lot of time with her. JoJo needs a family who can check on her every 4-6 hours (would not be a good fit for a family that works 10-12 hour days). JoJo will not be a good apartment dog as she does bark when she hears strange noises. She settles down quickly, but we don’t think she is a good fit for an apartment. There are no children in her foster home but we think she will be fine with older, mature children (10 and older).<br/><br/>If you are looking for a joyful, fun loving dog who loves everyone and everything – JoJo is your girl!<br/><br/>JoJo is being fostered in the DFW (Texas) area. Reference checks, adoption contract and $350.00 adoption donation required.<br/><br/>As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention.
