JoJo - $375's Story
Jojo here. I'm a sweet lab mix who is 2 years old, 55 lbs, and ready to find love! I’m a really good boy! I know how to stay quiet in my crate, I know how to go potty outside, and I get along with dogs and cats! My foster parents say that I have low/medium energy. I think they mean that I love going on walks and running around with other dogs a bit, but after some of that I’m perfectly happy snuggling on the couch or chewing on a bone.

My favorite pastimes include cuddling with my people, looking at Baby Yoda memes, napping, and getting petted behind the ears. Some things I don't like are dogs that are too in my face (they freak me out a bit and I get nervous!), loud traffic noises (they startle me!), and carrots (yuck!).

Since I'm a bit unsure about loud noises and when there is too much commotion around me, I'd be best in a home that's somewhat quiet and in a neighborhood that's not too close to really busy streets. I'm a bit shy when you first meet me and it might take me a little bit of time to open up but when I do, get ready, because I will love you with all my heart. I’ll follow you around the house, ready to snuggle next to you, give you kisses and tail wags, comfort you when you’re feeling down, and help you eat your pizza crust when you’re too full to finish.

I would love nothing more than find a family who will love me and help me become a confident dog. My foster family says that I'm one of the sweetest and easiest dogs to take care of, and they're hoping to help me find the perfect home soon so I can spend the holidays with my forever family. Could that be you?

If you would like to be considered as an adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our process includes getting landlord approval and vet checks. We try to get applications processed in a timely fashion. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and possibly cancel your application from being processed, so please make sure that you include valid information and valid contact information. You will be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once your application has been processed, you will be contacted by one of our volunteers to set up a home visit interview. After your home visit interview is completed, all of your information is reviewed. If your application is approved, you will be notified. Meet and greets with dogs are only set up with approved applicants, so if you want to meet a dog, it is vital that your home visit is completed and that your application is approved. Adoption fees generally are:
$375+tax for puppies to 2 years old
$325+tax for ages 3-5
$275+tax for ages 5-8
$200+tax for senior dogs age 8 and up. The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, microchip, general deworming and veterinary inspection certificate. Breeds of dogs are best guesses and we don't guarantee any breed. Adopters are chosen by what situation will be best for the dog. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen to adopt that dog. Lucky Mutts strives to match dogs to the best home and will work with your family to find a good match. Please remember that we are an organization that is completely run by volunteers, so please be patient as many of us work full time jobs, have families and also foster dogs. Thanks for wanting to adopt!
