JJ Mixed Breed Saskatoon, SK

Introducing JJ - the zoomiest of zoomers. JJ has been lovingly nicknamed roller coaster because one minute he’s zooming around the yard and making happy feet to play, and the next he’s passed out on the floor. If he was a roller coaster, he’d probably be a splash park one as he loves to spray all those within 2 feet of him with water after he’s done taking a gulp!

JJ is the gentlest treat taker which is funny to watch given his giant head. Though he is gentle and gracious for food with humans, he does not like when competition is involved. JJ has displayed some resource guarding and must eat all food and treats away from other animals. But when there is no food around, he is more than happy to play with other dogs! He enjoys chasing his 35 pound foster brother around the yard with their toys!

JJ does well in a kennel at night and will sleep peacefully for the entire night. Sometimes during the day he will put up a fight in the kennel but manages to settle within minutes! JJ knows sit and shake very well and is working on “place” where he goes to his bed, down, off, stay and come. JJ is known as his foster mom’s shadow as he loves to follow her everywhere! However he is not allowed in the kitchen which he is fine with, simply laying down in the door way and watching his foster mom from afar! JJ listens well when told “out”! JJ walks exceptionally well on the leash, only pulling if he gets a good smell, otherwise he walks right next to his human.

JJ has a medium energy level which comes in bursts. He is fully house trained having had no accidents in the house since coming into care.

He hasn’t met kids but we think he would be a gentlemen. He has not met a cat while in our care.

We estimate him to be about 1 1/2 years old. He is 25 inches to his shoulders.

Adoption fee is $295. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
