Jiminy Cricket's Story

Jiminy Cricket joined the CVHS crew when his size and energy level became too much for his owner's mobility issues, and she knew he needed a home better suited to his needs.

She told us he loves to play, and will even play fetch by himself, releasing a ball at the top of a hill, and chasing it as it rolls down! He knows his various toys by name, he likes playing in water (but not taking walks in the rain), enjoys a good snuggle, and loves to run, especially in a good game of chase with his dog friends.

Cricket is learning to walk nicely on leash, but is still a bit of a puller, especially when he'd rather be playing in the new snow! He's a very playful and friendly guy, and will do well in a home that recognizes his need for activity. He did spend time with kids under 10, but he's still a bit jumpy, so any children in the family will need to be sturdy, as he's still learning that four-on-the-floor is a better behavior.

A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Jiminy Cricket's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Jiminy Cricket.
