Jimbo was found stray in the city of Tieton and taken in by the Public Works department. They do not have animal control, so they reached out to us for help. Jimbo is shy but quite friendly, playful and interactive when he gets to know you. He is more of a people dog than a dog's dog and will get very attached to "his" person very quickly. That sometimes manifests itself as resource guarding which makes it difficult for him to share. He would do best in an adult only home, as an only dog or with a very dog pack savvy human with indifferent dog pack members. Because he likes to run, a fenced yard would be ideal! All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
