Jill's Story

Sometimes people can just be down right cruel…. This is Jill, she came from the south with one of her surviving puppies who has already been adopted. Down south there are few laws (if any) that protect animals and can be utilized to prosecute cases of abuse. Too often dogs are rescued and the scars on their body are indications they’ve lived a rough life devoid of kindness but the extent of their suffering can never truly be known. This is the case for Jill. She’s 8 years young and in her life has been overbred, having litter after litter. Her teeth are broken and ground down. She came to us heartworm positive and has been for an unknown length of time to the point it’s caused damage to her lungs. Her body is riddled with buckshot. Despite all this you would think she’d have a chip on her shoulder but she has nothing but love to give. She is a sweet and gentle soul looking for a nice quiet home to spend her golden years. She has been treated for heart worm, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

Jill and dogs like her are why rescue matters. She deserves peace and compassion after the hard life she’s lived.
