Jill's Story

Jill is a sweet Chihuahua mix dog who had a very rough start in life, as an abandoned puppy. Because of this, Jill is very shy. When she warms up you will have a friend for life. She prefers not to be picked up or handled much but loves to lay next to you while you pet her. She is not a jumper so does not get on the furniture. She sleeps and hangs out on her bed when she is inside. She loves being outside, and a fenced area to run in would be perfect for her. She gets along with the other dogs in our house but we have no history of her interactions with cats. Jill is mostly housetrained, going out willingly. However she is potty pad trained for occasional accidents. Jill is not crate or leash trained. She sleeps on her own bed at night. Jill needs a loving calm home, older children if applicable, and patience and understanding. She would make a wonderful companion. Jill can be a barker at times outside but comes when called. Could you be Jill's forever home?<br/>Jill is on heartworm preventive and is up to date on all Vaccinations. She has been spayed. For more information, please visit our website at www.bhsva.org to fill out an adoption form.
