Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.

We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application.

And now a few words from Jigsaw..

I am 11 years young and weigh about 12 pounds. I'm a smart and loyal handsome guy.

I do require patient people that will give me time to adjust. Pushy people aren't for me. Once I get to know and trust someone, I will be their loyal BFF furever.

I'm a healthy guy. I enjoy my walks. I have very good leash manners. I would love to have a good human walking companion. I would be super excited if I found humans that enjoyed going on hikes.

I am quite affectionate. I like sitting on a couch with you while you do your reading or tinker on the electronic device thing.

I don't mind other dogs as long as they aren't too big, pushy, or wild. After all, I am a distinguished senior gentleman. So other dogs need to be respectful and not annoying!

I am in good health. I just got neutered and had a dental surgery. I am up to date on vaccinations and current on preventatives for flea, tick, and heartworm. I'm house trained and crate trained. I am quiet and well behaved when left alone. Did I mention I was a well mannered distinguished gentleman?
