JEWELS (cc#7155)'s Story

This beautiful lady was found as a stray here in West Orange. Why no one has come looking is a total mystery. We're calling her "Jewels" (named because of her one, beautiful blue eye), and she's a real sweetheart. She keeps her run clean a the shelter so we're guessing she's most likely housebroken. The town vet's been in and she was given her Rabies Vaccination.

Jewels was held way beyond her 7-day State required holding period because we were thinking her family might be away on vacation, but unfortunately no calls, and nobody's come looking. Now we need to find Jewel a new home.

Jewels is a very friendly young adult, only about 2 years old. A favorite of the volunteers, they love taking her for a walk. ...And on the up side, Jewels keeps her run clean, so we're thinking she may be housebroken.

Jewels is presently at the vet being spayed. So far they also agree she's about 2 years old, and she weighed in at 44.5 lbs. Her heartworm/Lyme tests were negative, and they brought her Distemper and Bordetella vaccinations up to date. She should be returned to the shelter early next week. (If you're interested in stopping by to see her, just give us a call to make she she's been returned before making the trip.)

If you have any questions, would like more information about Jewels or if you are considering adoption, you can give us a call.
