Jewel 's Story

Jewel was captured by Phila. Animal control after a good Samaritan called her in as an injured stray in NE Philly. She was taken to ACCT. Brookline took her into fostering from there. Jewel had a URI, went into heat and is currently recovering from a pre-shelter soft tissue shoulder injury.
Jewel should be Spayed in mid to late Spring. She will be adopted with a sterilization agreement.
Jewel shows signs of previously being a family pet. She is housebroken and knows several commands. However, she has been in recovery as an only dog. In addition be needing to be spayed, she continues to heal from the injury and will need to be reintroduced to other dogs when it is physically safe for her shoulder to do so.
She did well with other dog intros when she first entered ACCT (before she caught the URI).

PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue.

For more information on this Lab, please contact INFO@BROOKLINELABRESCUE.ORG.

If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Web site, www.brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process.
