Jetta is a beautiful pure black German Shepherd born on July of 2024 — a true little firecracker in both spirit and heart. She’s incredibly intelligent, affectionate with her people, and has a playful, athletic side that shines when she’s running or chasing a frisbee. When she’s excited to see you, she’ll pin her ears back and wiggle with happiness, and when she’s relaxing, she loves curling up in the corner of a couch with her head resting on the armrest.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Jetta thrives with structure and loves having a job to do. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard or property where an e-collar system is used responsibly. Her ideal family would be experienced with German Shepherds and understand the training, leadership, and consistency this intelligent breed needs.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Jetta was at a board and train program and got along well with all dogs, although can be reactive as most shepherds. In the right environment — one where she can feel secure, loved, and understood — she will be a deeply devoted and rewarding companion.<br/><br/><br/><br/>We love Jetta very much, but after many efforts to help her and our 3-year-old Golden Retriever coexist, it’s become clear that rehoming her is the safest and most compassionate choice for both dogs. Our hope is to find her a home that can give her the focused attention and calm environment she deserves. <br/><br/><br/><br/>Jetta is not currently at AuSable Valley Animal Shelter, this is only a courtesy post for the owners to assist in finding this dog a home.
