Jett's Story

Jett lost his home because his family moved into an apartment that doesn't allow pets. If you can put your anger away, like we have, it's not Jett's fault and he is the victim here. He couldn't understand the change, and is gradually adjusting in a train and board. Jett originally came from a Texas kill shelter with his brother Scout. We transported them north for a better shot at life. He's a VERY handsome Aussie/Lab Cattle Dog Mix - we love his little round bum and short stubby little tail :).

Jett loves his people and bonds hard once he knows he can trust you (for obvious reasons, it is taking him a bit longer to trust, given the confusing changes he is going through). He was initially kind of timid, but is coming out of his shell and gaining confidence since we decided to invest in board and train for him. He loves his chew toys- such as his Nylabone and his Kong toy, enjoys a healthy round of fetch, enjoys the company of other dogs, but his most favorite way to play is to run around the yard to get his energy out! After all, he's predominantly a cattle dog who born to herd. Herding dogs love to run, run, run, and run!

Jett is crate-trained and uses that space to decompress. He is completely house-broken and is working on being more comfortable and confident on leash. He is neutered and UTD on his vaccinations.

Jett is a great combination of mellow and playful. He would do best in a calm household with someone home for companionship, as Jett can gets anxious and unsure. He will hopefully outgrow this once again once he feels no one is leaving him for good. A playmate would be great for Jett to give him confidence and to have a buddy around.

APPLY TO ADOPT NOW!! https://rosemariesrescueranch.com/dog-adoption/

In the Consideration section, under 'Application Notes', please tell us about yourself to help us get a feel for you and your family, and as a fit for the pet you are interested in.
