Jethro's Story

Jethro’s story is a sad one. He was saved from an abusive situation in Philadelphia three years ago. A Good Samaritan brought him to a local vet hospital where he received the care he needed and was slowly nursed back to health. When no one came forward for him, he began his search for a new family to love. Despite spending most of his day in a kennel at the vet, he is described as such a happy, sweet, and loving boy.

Jethro is about 5-7 years old and 60 lb. He is on maintenance meds to keep his skin healthy. Vet staff absolutely adore him and make sure he has time to socialize with people and other dogs. He is friendly with the dogs he has met there, but we’re not sure if he has ever lived with another canine, so a pre-meet and slow introductions are always recommended. He is too rough with cats and therefore not a good match for families with felines. Jethro listens well, comes when called, knows how to sit when prompted, and is very attentive to his person.

Jethro is long overdue to be back in a home, giving and receiving the love he so deserves. If you’d like to meet this happy hound, please email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com and we can connect you to the vet hospital where he’s in boarding.

Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application to forward.(Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US!
We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families.
