Past the puppy phase, he brings a steady temperament and is a very manageable companion. He settles in beautifully with his people and enjoys simply being part of the home.<br/><br/>Training:<br/>We’ve been working on refreshing Jethro’s foundational obedience (sit, down, place, and threshold manners). On walks, he is environmentally neutral and remains composed unless another dog escalates first. Even then, he recovers quickly and is very workable with clear direction from his handler. With structure and consistency, he continues to make steady progress on a slip lead. He has also been introduced to the treadmill and enjoys it.<br/><br/>He is fully potty trained. Currently, he is crated at night where he settles independently and remains quiet. While he may be vocal if crated during the day, his previous owners successfully left him uncrated without issue. He is fostered with two other dogs indoors and coexists well.<br/><br/>Health:<br/>Vaccinated<br/>Neutered<br/>Microchipped<br/>No known health concerns. Ayant dépassé la phase chiot, il possède un tempérament stable et est un compagnon très facile à gérer. Il s’intègre merveilleusement bien à son foyer et apprécie simplement faire partie de la vie de famille.<br/><br/>Entraînement:<br/>Nous avons retravaillé les bases d’obéissance de Jethro (assis, couché, place et contrôle des impulsions). En laisse, il est neutre face à son environnement et demeure posé, sauf si un autre chien s’excite en premier. Même dans ces situations, il récupère rapidement et se travaille très bien avec un maître qui lui donne des directives claires. Avec structure et constance, il continue de progresser régulièrement avec une laisse slip lead. Il a également été initié au tapis roulant et l’apprécie.<br/><br/>Il est propre dans la maison. Présentement, il dort en cage la nuit, où il s’installe seul et reste calme. Il pourrait être vocal s’il est en cage le jour, mais ses anciens propriétaires le laissaient libre dans la maison sans problème. Il est actuellement en famille d’accueil avec deux autres chiens à l’intérieur et la cohabitation se passe très bien.<br/><br/>Santé:<br/>Vacciné<br/>Stérilisé<br/>Micropucé<br/>Aucun problème de santé connu. Il aurait toutefois avantage à perdre quelques livres et répond bien à l’activité régulière.<br/><br/>À noter:<br/>Bon avec les chiens neutres et respectueux<br/>Bon avec les enfants<br/>Ne convient pas à un foyer avec des chats<br/><br/>Famille idéale:<br/>Jethro s’épanouirait dans un foyer offrant routine, encadrement et présence stable. Il apprécie ses promenades et bénéficie d’exercice régulier (surtout dans l’optique d’atteindre un poids santé), mais il n’a pas besoin d’un mode de vie très actif. Il est tout aussi heureux de relaxer à la maison.<br/><br/>Si vous recherchez un compagnon loyal et stable, avec de bonnes bases déjà en place, Jethro pourrait être le match parfait pour vous.<br/><br/>Jethro partira dans sa nouvelle famille avec son collier, sa laisse, sa cage, son lit ainsi que toute nourriture restante.
