MEET JETHRO<br/><br/>Jethro is an adorable 11–12 month old, 28 lb mixed-breed boy with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and enough puppy energy to power a small city! His story didn’t start out easy. When he was found four months ago, he was frightened, severely underweight, and covered in bug bites. Thankfully, some wonderful people took him in, gave him the care he desperately needed, and helped him discover what it feels like to be safe and loved. Today, Jethro is a happy, playful young boy who’s ready for his next chapter!<br/><br/>Jethro loves playing with other dogs, spending time outdoors, going for walks, and being wherever the action is. He’s also a big fan of cuddles, although he’s still working out the logistics of getting all 28 pounds of himself into the perfect snuggling position. Personal space? He’s heard of it, but he’s not entirely sold on the concept. <br/><br/>This smart boy is house-trained, walks nicely on leash, knows how to sit, and has learned to wait for his meals. He’s also been doing well with household routines and hasn’t been destructive when loose in the house. Like any young pup, Jethro is still learning his manners! He can get a little jumpy when excited, has opinions when he’s in his crate, and sometimes needs help settling down. With patience, consistency, and continued training, he’ll only continue to blossom.<br/><br/>Jethro would thrive with an active, loving family who can provide the exercise, structure, and affection he needs. He enjoys other dogs, but his playful energy may be a little much for calmer pups, so a compatible canine companion or a home where he’s the only dog would be ideal.<br/><br/>Just a few months ago, Jethro was a scared little dog who didn’t know what his future would hold. Today, he’s full of life, love, and personality, thanks to the kindness of people who gave him a second chance.<br/><br/>Jethro has already learned what it means to be rescued.
