Jessie's Story
Jessie has really come into her own during her time at the shelter. At just shy of 7 years old, she’s quietly stepped into the role of the shelter’s matriarch.
Jessie has a calm, steady presence that other animals seem to trust right away. She’s incredibly helpful when it comes to introducing nervous dogs and showing them that making friends isn’t so scary after all. Somehow, she even manages to win over the cats — even the ones who normally can’t stand dogs seem to think Jessie is worth hanging around (and occasionally playing with).

She’s a gentle, kind soul who seems to understand everyone around her. Jessie isn’t loud or pushy; she just quietly does her thing and makes the shelter a better place for the animals and people around her.
After spending her time helping everyone else settle in, Jessie deserves a home of her own where she can finally relax and be someone’s loyal companion. She truly is a special girl. 🐾

Update: Jessie will need to go to a home without men, she is more comfortable with women. GPS collar would be beneficial and a fenced yard preferred. IF spooked she will not stick around.

If interested in adopting, please click the link below to fill out an application:
www.bellwetherharbor.org/.../application-for-adoption/
