Meet Jessi <br/><br/>Basic Information<br/> 11 months old<br/> 12 kg<br/> Terrier mix<br/> Fostered in Tulum, Mexico<br/><br/>Her Story<br/><br/>Jessi was found abandoned in a sports field in Tulum, Mexico. When rescuers found her, she was covered in ticks and terrified of humans. Over the past 6 months in foster care, she has slowly been learning that people can be safe, loving, and kind. Her progress has been incredible, and now shes ready to find a forever family of her own.<br/><br/>About Jessi<br/><br/>Jessi is a silly, affectionate, and incredibly sweet puppy with lots of personality. Once she trusts you, she becomes a total velcro dog who wants to be by your side at all times. She loves cuddling on the couch, climbing into your lap, giving kisses, and sleeping in bed with her people. Shes truly a little lap dog at heart.<br/>Shes also playful, smart, and food-motivated (which makes training much easier!). Jessi already knows sit, paw, and lie down, loves catching sticks, is great in the car, and will happily snack on just about anythingincluding bananas.<br/>Shes also a bit of a character... her favourite hobby may just be stealing socks.<br/>Jessi is fully house-trained, sleeps through the night without any issues, and is respectful in the home. She doesnt destroy things, though she may gently chew on items here and theremostly when shes bored or looking for a little extra attention.<br/><br/>What Jessi Needs<br/><br/>Jessi is naturally nervous and fearful, so she needs a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. New people can be scary for her at first, but food is definitely the way to her heart.<br/>Because of her sensitive nature, Jessi would do best in:<br/> A calm home without young children (she is too nervous for busy little ones)<br/> A home without cats she has been cat tested and is actually scared of them<br/> A home with at least one other friendly dog to help build her confidence and keep her company<br/>Jessi absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with canine companionship.<br/>On leash, Jessi can initially be very skittish and nervous, so she must be walked using both a martingale collar and harness for safety. Quand les sauveteurs lont trouvee, elle etait couverte de tiques et terrorisee par les humains. Depuis 6 mois en famille daccueil, elle apprend tranquillement que les humains peuvent etre securisants, aimants et gentils. Elle a fait denormes progres et est maintenant prete a trouver sa famille pour la vie.<br/><br/>A propos de Jessi<br/><br/>Jessi est une petite chienne drole, affectueuse et vraiment douce, avec beaucoup de personnalite. Une fois quelle vous fait confiance, elle devient une vraie petite pot de colle qui veut etre pres de vous en tout temps. Elle adore les calins sur le divan, grimper sur vos genoux, donner des bisous et dormir dans le lit avec ses humains. Cest une vraie petite chienne de salon dans lame.<br/>Elle est aussi joueuse, intelligente et tres motivee par la nourriture (ce qui rend lentrainement beaucoup plus facile!). Jessi connait deja les commandes assis, donne la patte et couche. Elle adore attraper des batons, est super en voiture et mange presque tout avec plaisir... incluant les bananes.<br/>Elle a aussi un petit cote tannante... son passe-temps prefere pourrait bien etre de voler des bas.<br/><br/>Jessi est propre dans la maison, dort toute la nuit sans probleme et se comporte tres bien a linterieur. Elle ne detruit pas les choses, mais peut parfois mordiller doucement certains objets surtout quand elle sennuie ou veut un peu plus dattention.<br/><br/>Ce dont Jessi a besoin<br/><br/>Jessi est naturellement nerveuse et craintive, donc elle a besoin dun adoptant patient qui comprend que batir la confiance prend du temps. Les nouvelles personnes peuvent lui faire peur au debut, mais la nourriture est definitivement le chemin vers son cur.<br/>En raison de sa sensibilite, Jessi serait mieux dans :<br/> Une maison calme, sans jeunes enfants (elle est trop nerveuse pour lenergie des tout-petits)<br/> Une maison sans chats elle a ete testee avec des chats et en a en fait peur<br/> Une maison avec au moins un autre chien sociable pour laider a prendre confiance et lui tenir compagnie<br/>Jessi adore les autres chiens et sepanouit vraiment avec de la compagnie canine.<br/>En laisse, Jessi peut etre tres craintive et nerveuse au depart. Pour sa securite, elle doit etre promenee avec un collier martingale et un harnais. Une fois attachee a ses humains, elle est extremement loyale et reste generalement tres pres deux.<br/><br/>La famille ideale pour Jessi<br/><br/>Jessi sepanouirait avec quelquun qui :<br/> A une approche douce et patiente<br/> A un style de vie actif et aime les marches, les jeux et les aventures<br/> Comprend les chiens timides et est pret a la laisser sadapter a son rythme<br/> Cherche une meilleure amie affectueuse qui finira par etre collee a son humain<br/>Jessi aura peut-etre besoin dun peu plus de temps au debut, mais pour la bonne personne, elle en vaudra tellement la peine.
